Red Lace Micariff Endler

The Red Lace Micariff Endler, also known as Micariff Endler, is a small and peaceful freshwater fish that is becoming increasingly popular among aquarium enthusiasts. Its scientific name is Poecilia wingei.  The Micariff Endler is a small fish that can grow up to 2.5 centimeters in length. Males are typically more colorful and have a triangular-shaped anal fin, while females have a rounder shape. They are active swimmers and need plenty of swimming space in their aquarium. They can be kept in groups of 5 to 6 individuals and prefer a planted aquarium with plenty of hiding places.

Micariff Endlers are omnivorous and will eat a variety of food, including flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and live foods. They also enjoy vegetable matter, such as blanched spinach or zucchini.

Male Micariff Endlers are more colorful than females, with bright red or orange patterns on their body. Males also have a triangular-shaped anal fin, while females have a rounder shape.

Micariff Endlers are prolific breeders and can quickly populate an aquarium if conditions are right. They can be bred in a separate breeding tank or in the main aquarium, provided there are plenty of hiding places for the fry. Females can give birth to up to 20 fry every few weeks, and the fry are fully formed and able to swim and feed on their own.

Like many other aquarium fish, Micariff Endlers are susceptible to a variety of diseases, including bacterial and fungal infections, parasites, and ich. It is important to maintain a clean aquarium with proper water parameters and to quarantine any new fish before introducing them to the main aquarium to prevent the spread of disease.

The Micariff Endler is native to the coastal lagoons of Venezuela, in South America.

Micariff Endlers are peaceful fish that do well in community aquariums. However, they can be outcompeted for food by more aggressive fish, so it is important to provide plenty of food and make sure they are getting enough to eat.

When introducing Micariff Endlers to a new aquarium, it is important to acclimate them slowly to prevent shock. Float the bag of fish in the aquarium for 15-20 minutes to allow the water temperature to equalize, then slowly add small amounts of aquarium water to the bag over the course of 30-45 minutes before releasing the fish into the aquarium.
