Tank Size: A good tank size by adulthood is around 120 gallons for these fishes. They are a very active swimmer, so you want to have an excellent rock structure with caves and overhangs for them to search for prey.

Temperament: Their temperament is very peaceful. Other than Butterflyfishes, they do great with virtually everything. However, please don't add them to a predator tank. Butterflies can be very shy, and putting them in something aggressive, you'll usually see them hiding constantly throughout the day.

Reef Compatibility: They are wrong about picking on Anemonies, Clams, and LPS corals. They'll also chase smaller inverts.

Make sure to keep your water levels in check and your water changes regularly. They are usually pretty hardy and can survive if you make a mistake with a spike.

Their acclimation is essential too. So whatever you do for other fish, do the same for these.

Appearance

Max Size: 6 inches by adulthood.

Coloration: They have a white body with almost a crescent moon of yellow on the backside of their body, and these two black triangles on their upper fins paired with tiger stripes throughout the body.

Diet

They are carnivore, so ensure you feed plenty of meaty food. They love blood worms but also keep a variety of frozen cubes at hand.

Know that these fishes can be very shy at the beginning. So be patient with them, try a lot of different food each day. Then, if they stay in the back, turn the powerheads on to get some food to float back.
