Green Bubble Algae

General information

Green Bubble Algae size ranges between 2-5cm wide. They clump together and look like a bubble of grapes. Each translucent bead is a sphere or tear-drop shaped. The beads are actually interconnected. The color is dark to light green or olive green.

Some people think that if you pop them in your aquarium it releases bubble algae spores that make it spread throughout the tank. This is a myth, popping them in the tank does not release spores through the tank.
