Eastern Hulafish

General information

The Eastern Hulafish is a small saltwater fish that grows up to 10 cm in length. It has a slender, elongated body with a pointed snout, and its coloration is predominantly white with narrow, vertical stripes in shades of blue, black, and yellow. This species is generally peaceful and can be kept in a community aquarium with other peaceful fish. It is recommended to keep them in a tank with a sandy substrate and plenty of hiding places.

The Eastern Hulafish is carnivorous and should be fed a diet of meaty foods such as small crustaceans, brine shrimp, and other small marine invertebrates.

There are no known external differences between male and female Eastern Hulafish.

There is limited information on breeding and spawning in captivity for the Eastern Hulafish.

The Eastern Hulafish is generally hardy and disease-resistant. However, like all fish, it is susceptible to common aquarium diseases such as Ich and Velvet.

The Eastern Hulafish is found in the Western Pacific Ocean, specifically in the waters around Australia and New Zealand.

When acclimating the Eastern Hulafish to a new aquarium, it is important to slowly acclimate it to the new water conditions by floating the bag in the aquarium for 20-30 minutes to equalize the temperature, and then slowly adding small amounts of aquarium water to the bag over a period of time.
