About Candy Stripe Cardinal

General information

The Candy Stripe Cardinal diet is mainly comprised of small crustaceans and fishes and also accepts a wide variety of meaty food. The Candy Stripe Cardinal can also be fed with color enhancing foods such as spirulina which helps in maintaining its color. It mainly inhabits rocky or coral rich reefs and is found mostly in caves and crevices. We suggest you, therefore, keep live rocks in your aquarium. The Candy Stripe Cardinal is silver in color and has four horizontal stripes running along its body with a small dark spot on the caudal peduncle. It's indigenous to Central Japan, Australia, and Samoa. The Candy Stripe Cardinal is nocturnal and does most of their feeding at night time. The Candy Stripe Cardinal features mouth brooders, in which they incubate their eggs. They generally maintain a group and look amazing while swimming with a mesmerizing colored body.
