Acalycigorgia sp
Water parameters are being added.
The Blueberry Sea Fan has a base that is colored red or orange and has bright blue polyps. It is always set at the center of an aquarium due to its magnificent blue coloration. The Blueberry Sea Fan is not ideal for beginners and should only be maintained by an experienced aquarist.
This are the water parameters for cultivatring a Blueberry Sea Fan:
Blueberry Sea Fans are not photosynthetic. Therefore, they require supplemental feeding such as live micro-plankton, baby brine shrimp and other foods for filter feeders. They further require the addition of nutrients such as calcium, strontium, Iodine and other trace elements.
A mature tank is highly recommended in propagating Blueberry Sea Fan. Fish are recommended as fish excretes nitrogen that can sustain the coral's growth.
Since they are not photosynthetic, Blueberry Sea Fan only requires a low level of lighting. However, it needs a strong water flow since it is their ideal environment.
While they are relatively peaceful, it is still recommended that you observe proper spacing with neighboring corals and anemones. Initially, you will need an underwater epoxy to anchor the Blueberry Sea Fan to a live rock.
Blueberry Sea Fan are purely marine. So, therefore, salinity must be maintained thoroughly at 1.023 to 1.025 specific gravity.
