The Mbu Puffer is commonly referred to as the giant pufferfish due to the size it is able to reach, they can grow up to 26 inches in length.
The Mbu Pufferfish feeds on smaller fish, mollusks and crustaceans and snails. They require a varied of foods and should be provided with foods with shelled foods to prevent their teeth from overgrowth and causing health issues for the puffer or manually trimming. A good variety of food will also keep your pufferfish healthy.
The Mbu Puffer can be found in the middle and lower sections of the Congo river in Africa, as well as the east coast of Lake Tanganyika near the Malagarasi River mouth.
