When introducing the El Silverado Endler to a new tank, it is important to acclimate them slowly. This can be done by floating the bag they came in on the surface of the tank for 15-20 minutes, then opening the bag and adding small amounts of the tank water to the bag every 5 minutes until the water volume in the bag has doubled. This process should take around an hour before the fish can be safely released into the tank.
