Blue Branching Acropora Coral

<p>The Branching Acropora Coral in this blue color morph exudes a delicate beauty. Tightly packed branches and nariform (nose-shaped) corallites resemble floral clusters that make it easy to imagine an established patch of Branching Acropora Coral as a picturesque flush of spring blossoms. The Branching Acropora Coral makes a remarkable addition to a low-nutrient reef aquarium system or for any collector or reef enthusiast. Under the right conditions, the growth rate of the Acropora coral is much more rapid than most other corals found in an established reef aquarium. In addition to high lighting condition and near pristine water quality, the Branching Acropora Coral prefers strong, intermittent water flow within the aquarium. <p>Feeding the Blue Branching Acropora Coral in captivity with nano-zooplankton once a week is recommended. Do not feed them with copepods, artemia and other nauplii as they too large for them to ingest. The addition of dissolved organics is also recommended.</p>

<p>A mature tank is highly recommended in propagating Blue Branching Acropora Coral. They require stable tank condition and that a sudden change could lead to stress and death. They are highly sensitive to temperature, sedimentation, chemical and environmental change.</p>

<p><span class="subListHeading1">Blue Branching Acropora Coral require moderate to intense lighting and strong water flow. They are known to stress out in low light environment and slow water flow.</span></p>

<p>Being both a tropical and subtropical species, Blue Branching Acropora Coral are found in the entire Indo-Pacific region particularly in Fiji, Sulu Sea, Madagascar, Phoenx Island, Marshall Islands and Australia.</p>

<div class="caution"> <p>You have to watch out for crabs. Except for the commensal crabs, most decapods and other crustaceans do not do well with Blue Branching Acropora Coral. Avoid moving them from place to place as this can cause stress and death.</p> <p>Blue Branching Acropora Coral do not have stinging tentacles. But they have digestive strands like Acontia and Terpins that could be released if they are set to nearby corals. They are specifically aggressive to zoanthids and soft leather corals.</p> </div>

It takes 6 months for them to regain normal growth.
