Best Food for Your Saltwater Fish & Reef

Every fish and invert will have some sort of specialized diet. With hundreds of food options, it's downright impossible for a beginner to make the right choice. 

So rather than pulling your hair out and wasting a lot of time, here are the six essential foods that will feed 99% of all your livestocks.

Hikari Mysis Shrimps

It's great for your carnivore shrimps, fishes, and anemoies and they'll love it. It's packed with protein, too many beginners relay on pelets to feed their livestock, but pellets are so nutrient dense that it's easy to overfeed and cause a nutrient imbalance especially spiked in nitrates nad phosphates which can lead to huge algae blooms.

This food is packed with all the good proteins and fats without any of the fillers.

Also it's small in size. Feeding this will be much easier. It doesn't require any rinsing. Whether using the flat packs or cubes it's virtually clear once you add your tank water.

It's super affordable - a great value with the cheapest option out there. the cubes make things simple but the flats packs are the most value for money.

Pellets

The three main ingredients are krill, fins, and squid just a great selection for all of your carnivores. Your fishes, invets, and corals will love it. It also help in bringing out the natural oranges and reds of your fish.

PE Pellets

They packs invasive, gut loaded freshwater Mysis shrimps from lake oganamns just north of the central Washington border. They are not only helping in removing invasive species but they are also packing a mysis shrimp that is very protein high.

Since they're frozen food, they can be a bit large for the smaller fishes. These PE pellets are a fantastic substitute. 

Hikari Seaweed Extreme
