About Water Sprite

General information

The Water Sprite is a popular aquatic plant that is native to Southeast Asia. It is a floating plant that can grow up to 40cm in length and 20cm in width, making it suitable for both small and large aquariums. The plant has a feathery appearance with finely divided leaves that are light green in color. It prefers moderate to high lighting and a pH range of 6.0 to 7.5.

The Water Sprite is a photosynthetic plant that derives its nutrients from the water and through photosynthesis. It does not require any special feeding.

Breeding & spawning

The Water Sprite reproduces by producing spores. Under favorable conditions, it will release these spores into the water, which will then develop into new plants.

The Water Sprite is native to Southeast Asia.

Acclimation process

When introducing the Water Sprite to a new aquarium, it is best to acclimate it slowly by placing it in a separate container with aquarium water for several hours. This will allow the plant to adjust to the water parameters of the new aquarium.
