The Mexican Red Leg Hermit Crab is a smaller hermit crab known to grow up under 1 inch (2 cm) in length, they can be considered aggressive and attack other hermit crabs or even snails to take their shells. Some of this aggression can be avoided by having lots of empty shells in the tank.

Diet & nutrition

The Mexican Red Leg Hermit Crab is an omnivore - they will scavenge your aquarium looking for uneaten food, detritus, some green algae, and even invertebrates shed exoskeletons.
