About Babylonia Japonica

General information

Babylonian Snails while sometimes referred to as a Nassarius Snail due to some of the simial shape and ability to burrow in stair the sand – While this spotted snail makes an attractive addition to the tank, keep in mind they are predatory and feed on scallops, clams, fish and other snails. I also had them kill 3 sea hare slug before I figured out who killed them. They are commonly mislabeled and sold as “Fancy Nassarius”, or “Speckled Nassarius” snails, but they are not related to Nassarius and are not safe for the reef aquarium. Great addition to a predator tank.
