Tiger Sand Conch

General information

The Tiger Sand Conch are scavengers, they burrow themselves under the sand, they sift through the sand using their siphon to search for food or detritus. As the Tiger Sand Conch sift through the sand they aerate the entire environment in the aquarium. The Tiger Sand Conch is mainly found buried in the sand, and have well-developed eyes which help them keep an eye on what happening around them, they feature a powerful foot that propels itself and moves forward.

The Tiger Sand Conch are considered reef safe and should not harm or disturb corals or another species in your tank.

The Tiger San Conch do best in an environment with a thick sand bed along with rocks and caves for the conch to survive well.

Tiger Sand Conch might get attack by hermit crabs for their shelter. To reduce the likelihood of hermit crabs attaching your conch, keep plenty of additional empty shells within your aquarium.
