Xenomystus nigri
Water parameters are being added.
The African Knifefish can be kept by themselves or in groups of five, they can grow to 9 inches (23 cm) in length therefore they will require a large aquarium with many hiding places and even possibly roots. They are nocturnal predator fish so they may not be as active during the day.
They should be fed highly nutritious live or frozen food or even food tablets. Some of the types of food that they normally eat are insects, insect larvae, and even shrimp.
Females have a larger abdomen area.
