Bothus mancus
Water parameters are being added.
The Sand Flounder is a large-mouthed fish, and is narrow at the base and widens towards the tip, each stimulating a detached segment of the anal fin. It grows a maximum up to 18 inches and is considered shoal-water fish. The Sand Flounder looks lovely when it raises its eyes over its body for peering and settles down at the bottom. Requires a thick sand bed in the tank. The Sand Flounder loves to hide under the sand bed and will be found mostly hiding under it. It is basically a peaceful fish and does not bother any other reef tank inhabitants, thus making it a coral safe specimen. The Sand Flounder should not be housed with any other predatory fishes since it is a docile fish.
