The Nanus Cory is gold with dark horizontal stripes from the tail to the head. These fish are usually 2 inches. To keep these fish in captivity, water temperature should range from 71.6ºF to 78.8ºF and water pH should be between 5.8 and 7.0. The tank should have rocks, floating plants and a sandy substrate. It is a peaceful species and can be kept in a community aquarium with other peaceful species. These fish should be kept in groups of at least 4.
This species is omnivorous. It can be fed with live, dried or frozen foods.
Mature females are larger and rounder while males have pointier fins.
This species can be found in the Amazon.
